I think she is referring to Foundations of Chinese Medicine by Giovanni Maciocia. It is recommended although there are no assigned readings in it, you will find info on many of the topics. I will look at the quiz for part 1 vs 2. Right now, in terms of memorization/retention, I would focus really ONLY on point location and the point location lectures. Try to take the rest in for now. We use repetition throughout the year to help you remember the important info. It is a whole new language, but understanding will come with time.
