The University of New England College of Osteopathic Medicine (UNE COM) is accredited by the American Osteopathic Association (AOA) and the Maine Medical Association (MMA) to provide continuing medical education for physicians.

Medical Acupuncture Training for Physicians
An Integrated Structural Acupuncture Approach

Integrated Structural Acupuncture is an accredited CME training for physicians in Medical Acupuncture. The web-based and live training curriculum also includes osteopathic assessment, nutritional counseling, and related treatment modalities to optimize the health of patients.

Medical Live Weekend Sessions

UNE COM designates the Live Weekend Sessions for a maximum of 101.30 AMA PRA Category 1 Credits™ and has requested that the AOA Council on Continuing Medical Education approve the Live Weekend Sessions for a maximum of 101.30 hours of AOA Category 2A CME Credits.

Web-Based Distance Learning

UNE COM designates the Web-Based Distance Learning enduring material for a Maximum of 207.05 AMA PRA Category 1 Credits™ and has requested that the AOA Council on Continuing Medical Education approve the Web-Based Distance Learning enduring material for 207.05 hours of AOA Category 1-B CME Credit Hours.

The Royal College of Physicians and Surgeons of Canada recognizes conferences and workshops held outside of Canada that are developed by a university, academy, hospital, specialty society or college as accredited group learning activities.

Through an agreement between the American Medical Association and the European Union of Medical Specialists, physicians may convert AMA PRA Category 1 Credit™ to an equivalent number of European CME Credits® (ECMECs®), therefore up to 308.35 ECMEC© Credits are available. Each medical specialist should claim only those hours of credit that they are actually spent in the educational activity.

The course is designed to meet the following American Board of Medical Specialties (ABMS)/Accreditation Council for Graduate Medical Educational (ACGME) competencies: Patient Care and Procedural Skills and Medical Knowledge.
